WHAT GOD GIFTS DO YOU HAVE THAT CAN BLESS OTHERS?
"If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.
"Don't just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep praying. When God's people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be ready to practice hospitality."
- Romans 12:7-13
The talents and abilities that come natural to us are gifts from God. Just because it's easy for you doesn't mean it's easy for someone else. Never underestimate the difference you can make in someone's life. What a blessing your God gifts could be to a person who simply needs encouragement, a prayer for unspoken needs, or help through one of Whaley's outreach opportunities. Use your God gifts to show love in action.

SERVING THE GAINESVILLE COMMUNITY
AND BEYOND THROUGH MISSIONS
Love is a verb. While we can tell you all day long that Jesus loves you, at Whaley we prefer to show you through our actions. There are many ways you can get involved to help us serve the Gainesville and surrounding communities, like Muenster, Whitesboro, Collinsville, Lake Kiowa, Tioga, Valley View, Lindsay, Callisburg, and more. We also go on mission trips to serve those living in other areas. If you're hurting and/or need a hand up, check out our outreach ministries to see if there is a way we can bless you in this season.
GIVE ONLINE
By donating to Whaley's general operating fund, you help support the different missions and outreach opportunities for those in need. Tithing also helps keep our church doors open so we can share the love of Jesus.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
According to the Mayo Clinic, volunteering is good for your physical and mental health. It can also give you a feeling of purpose to help others. Read about our different service opportunities below
HOW YOU CAN HELP
You can pray, volunteer, donate/tithe, and more. We believe your level of involvement is between you and the Lord. We just connect people to the opportunities.
Outreach Opportunities

Delivering And Servicing the Homebound – A way to deliver meals on weekends and holidays, where Meals on Wheels does not deliver. Our church delivers every other month on the first Saturday of the month.
DASH

These are shelf stable weekend food packs that go home with school children in our area on weekends and over school holidays. We pick them up from Visto (Volunteers In Service To Others) and deliver to Edison every other week. You can also sign up to help stuff the bags at Visto every week on Monday mornings.
Backpack Blessings

A huge ministry at Whaley in which a Chicken Spaghetti meal is prepared and sold for anyone who would like to purchase. All proceeds go out to local charities in the area. Help is needed for preparation of the meal and serving on the day of the event. (Spring)
Chicken Spaghetti

We host a Christmas store in December that helps families in need, as identified by VISTO. Helpers are needed to work the day of the event, wrapping gifts, helping families shop, etc.
Christmas Store

This is a summer ministry here at Whaley and we need daily reading volunteers. The program runs for 8 weeks in the summer and kids are at the church M-Th. We have a morning reading time each day and we need volunteers to read with kids K-6th grade. (June/July)
Project Transformation

We have a Little Blessing box on our property that we keep stocked for those in need. You can bring non-perishable items to donate all year long. Bring to church office or place in the large brown wooden box in the hallway near the doors to the church with the overhang.
